Business Location
The gradually spreading interconnections between the regions of Weinviertel, South Moravia and West Slovakia create preconditions for regional production networks. There have been successful co-operations established first of all in the area of metal and wood processing, in companies supplying the automotive industry and in environmental technologies. The agriculture with its related downstream processing in small businesses und food industry becomes increasingly interesting. This is an emerging business location with its the nature-spatial qualities playing a role of a location factor.
The region of Lower Austria, the regional politics and municipalities concentrate strongly on locations that are developed alongside a high-quality infrastructure. There is lot of investment streaming into new economic structures (intercommunity business parks, centres of regional development). The technical educational facilities and technical universities should help to make the business location Weinviertel attractive, versatile a competitive in comparison with regions of South Moravia and Western Slovakia. Together and with a help of bigger investors there is a lot of effort made to position our own cross-border economic area.
The program of investment is running parallel to construction of road infrastructure (Weinviertel motorway A5, Weinviertel freeway, planning of the Marchfeld freeway S8, circle around Vienna S1). The EUREGIOtakt will make fit the close distance transport of persons between the district centres of Weinviertel and its neighbouring regions. The projects developed by the EUREGIO working group „Railway infrastructure” deliver basis for further technical construction projects.
