EUREGIO – Together in new Europe
The cross-border cooperation at both inland and international borders contributes to good European neighbourhood relations. From the long-term EUREGIOs as cross-border regional unions developed to the most successful cooperation forms on the regional and local level, between communities, countries and regional governments. Projects and programs based on mutual cooperation may be implemented in the most efficient way if the regional and community offices as well as other initiatives are directly involved at the local level.
The regions of Weinviertel, South Moravia and West Slovakia present themselves as a new economic region with things traditionally common to them in the new Europe. EUREGIO is the roof, under which the exchange of information and knowledge, the economic growth, the social and cultural activities are being supported and lobbying for the common interests is being conducted.
The creation of „European regions” as the cross-border identification areas becomes a great challenge for the local and regional partners of EUREGIO.
